Copywriter

Copywriting* is “written content conveyed through online media and print materials“. In this context, ‘copy’ is any content that is written for the purpose of advertising and marketing, where it eventually becomes an integral part of websites, social media, brochures, press releases, company profiles, catalogs, ads, jingles, radio/TV commercial scripts, and other promotional materials.

*not to be confused with ‘copyright’ – a completely different issue

In addition to copywriting, I have also done other projects that involved writing in a broader sense, as listed below:

  • Articles: in writing articles for newsletters, the language is more descriptive and evocative, designed to engage the reader’s emotions and imagination, while also delivering the necessary information.
  • Business and Corporate Documents: business letters, corporate statements and documents (departmental manuals, guidelines, PowerPoint presentations, reports) written in a professional tone that is clear and concise.
  • Creative Writing: exploring the more creative style of writing through blogs.
  • Editing: edited and developed departmental manuals, guidelines, reports, teaching materials and newsletters.
  • Indonesian-to-English Translation: giving the most accurate and contextually correct written translation or adaptation.
  • Other: scripts for presentation/promotional videos; and plays, from short skits to longer plays with a much larger cast.
